The Ogun State SAPZ Programme is recruiting a Technical Assistant to the State Gender and Social Safeguard Officer in Abeokuta. The assignment supports gender inclusion, social safeguards, nutrition and programme monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Support implementation of the SAPZ Gender Action Plan.
• Promote women’s economic empowerment and participation.
• Support inclusion of women, youth and vulnerable groups.
• Assist with nutrition and household resilience activities.
• Monitor gender, youth and nutrition indicators.
• Support gender and social safeguards training.
• Assist with GBV and SEA/SH risk mitigation.
• Monitor safeguards compliance and grievance processes.
• Support data collection, reporting and field monitoring.
• Engage communities, women’s groups, youth associations and other stakeholders.

Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, Development Studies, Agricultural Economics or a related field.
• At least 10 years’ experience in gender, social inclusion or safeguards.
• Experience working on donor-funded programmes, preferably projects supported by IFAD, AfDB or the World Bank.
• Experience with monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
• Knowledge of community-driven development and participatory approaches.
• Familiarity with safeguards compliance and grievance redress systems.
• Strong analytical, data management and report-writing skills.
• Good Microsoft Office and data-tool skills.
• Strong communication and facilitation abilities.
• Fluency in English. Hausa is an advantage.
