The Kano State SAPZ Programme is recruiting a Technical Assistant to the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. The 12-month assignment supports planning, monitoring, data management and programme reporting.

Key Responsibilities

The Technical Assistant will:

• Support the development and implementation of M&E frameworks.
• Assist with baseline, midline and end-of-programme assessments.
• Develop data collection tools and maintain M&E databases.
• Support data collection, cleaning, analysis and reporting.
• Participate in quarterly monitoring visits.
• Assist with programme performance reports and reviews.
• Support M&E training and capacity-building activities.
• Review reports submitted by M&E consultants.
• Support third-party monitoring and special studies.
• Assist with workplans, budgets and programme indicators.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

• A Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Agriculture, Economics, Statistics, Rural Sociology or a related field.
• At least five years’ relevant experience in M&E, data management or project support.
• Experience designing and implementing M&E frameworks.
• Knowledge of logical frameworks, indicators and data collection plans.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases and statistical software such as SPSS or STATA.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent report-writing and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access and MS Project.
• Donor-funded project experience is an advantage.
