Post UTME Screening Fee and Payment Method

As part of the application process, all candidates are required to pay a non-refundable Post-UTME screening fee.

  • Amount: Five Thousand Naira (₦5,000) only.
  • Payment Platform: Remita

Payment must be made strictly through the Remita platform as directed on the application portal. Candidates are advised to retain proof of payment for reference and verification purposes.

Eligibility Criteria for ND/HND Nursing Programme

Only candidates who meet all the eligibility requirements listed below will be considered for admission into the ND/HND Nursing Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.

1. UTME Requirement

Candidates must have sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 150. Candidates who scored below the stated minimum cut off mark are not eligible to apply.

2. Choice of Institution on JAMB Portal

Candidates must have chosen the College of Nursing Sciences, Federal Medical Centre Nguru as their first choice during the 2026 UTME registration.

Alternatively, candidates who did not initially select the College as their first choice must have successfully effected a change of institution to the College on the JAMB portal before applying.

Failure to meet this requirement will render the application invalid.

3. Upload of SSCE Results on JAMB CAPS

All candidates must have uploaded their SSCE results on the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

Candidates whose O’Level results are not uploaded or properly reflected on JAMB CAPS will not be considered for admission.

4. O’Level (SSCE) Subject Requirements

Candidates must possess five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) level.

The compulsory subjects include:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • Biology

  • Physics

These credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings for WAEC and NECO examinations.

However, candidates presenting NABTEB or NBAIS results must obtain all required credits in one (1) sitting only.

5. Age Requirement

Candidates must not be less than sixteen (16) years of age at the time of admission.

Alternatively, candidates who are below sixteen years at the time of application must attain the age of sixteen (16) years on or before 30th September, 2026 to be eligible.

Any candidate who does not meet the age requirement will be disqualified.
