The Zamfara State Government through duly constituted Committee for Teacher’s Recruitment has made an official announcement on the commencement of online Application to recruit Three Thousand and Fifty (3,050) Basic School Teachers into the Public Primary and Junior Secondary Schools across Zamfara States.

Commitment of the Dauda Lawal Administration to Education

The Recruitment of 3,050 teachers forms part of the larger commitment by the administration of Dauda Lawal, Executive Governor of Zamfara State towards re-positioning the state’s education system as an instrument for achieving Sustainable Development.

The governor further stated that since assuming power, his administration had been resolute on prioritizing the need to develop human capitals, which was considered one of the fundamental pillars of basic education, adding that recruiting these qualified teachers would help close the gap in teacher availability while also helping improve quality learning outcome for children irrespective of their location.

Official Opening of the Online Application Portal

The Zamfara State Government wishes to inform all members of the general public and especially those who are eligible indigenes of this state that the Online E-Recruitment Portal has just opened up for submissions.

Application Period

Please take note that the application portal opens from Thursday, 2nd July, 2026 and closes on Thursday, 16th July, 2026.

Applications submitted beyond that period shall NOT BE ACCEPTED for any reason whatsoever.

Who is Eligible to Apply?

Suitably qualified and interested Indigenes of Zamfara state are hereby invited to submit their applications online through the Official State Recruitment portal.

Basic Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • You a Bona fide indigene of Zamfara state.
  • Your age should be between 18-35years.
  • Possess at least the minimum teaching qualification stipulated for that post.

  • Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).
  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)
