The Kano State Universal Basic Education Board (KNSUBEB) has started the registration and verification of 4000 new employed teachers and 3868 BESDA Cohort V facilitators approved by the Kano State government.
The decision to carry out a teachers recruitment exercise by the Kano state government is another move to enhance quality learning in public primary and junior secondary schools in the state.
The Kano State Universal Basic Education Board (KNSUBEB) has said that the first set of 70 beneficiaries of the Kano state free scholarship have been registered and will commence their training at the State Training Centre, Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education, Kano.
The Stakeholders’ committee meeting on the re-advertised Bayelsa SUBEB Administrative Staff screening exercise is ongoing in Yenagoa and is being supervised by the Acting Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Hon. Wada Ibrahim Daho who is thankful for the peaceful exercise and expressed hope for a hitch free exercise.
Thousands Applied Across the 44 LGAs
“All the 44 local government areas of Kano State sent in applications for jobs”.
“We first put the candidates through a test on the computer and selected the candidates that scored the highest to proceed with their documents”.
They said that only those who passed the computer-based test were asked to proceed with the other steps like verifying their papers and other documents.

Wada Ibrahim Daho corrected this notion by explaining “all the successful students will be placed at their home town or in towns close to their region but far from their home town to facilitate their mobility to schools and hospitals”.
We want to help children and young adults in urban and rural communities to receive a great education, and our work will strive to make teaching and learning better.
Last week, I reported that Kano secondary school teachers protested over payment issues, with a large number demanding payments for three months, and that Teachers Service Commission (TSC) official Mr. N. was involved in an incident with a school principal. Fake Credentials Discovered During Screening
The unfortunate thing about this is the fact that 25% of the people who claimed to be well shaped filed their application but only to be caught red-handed with fake academic qualifications. After just a couple of days kasese district education board have decided to show the truth and removed the names of all such impostors from the selection process.
We want to advise those tempted by corruption and fraud with regards to any form of recruitment exercise conducted by Government to desist from such unbecoming behaviour.
Many internet users also want to make sure the recruitment process is transparent and fair
