Registrar

The Registrar is a Principal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe.

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Provost for the day-to-day administration of the College and will serve as Secretary to the Governing Council, Academic Board and other statutory committees.

The Registrar will also advise the College on rules, regulations and procedures while maintaining custody of institutional records and documents.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Possess a good honours degree in any Social Sciences or Arts subject from a recognised institution.
• Possess a relevant Master’s degree from a recognised institution.
• Have at least 18 years of cognate work experience.
• Must have served as a Deputy Registrar on CONTEDISS 15 in a College of Education.
• Possess evidence of continuous mandatory professional development.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
• Be a member of a recognised professional body relevant to the field.
• Must not be above 59 years of age when taking up the appointment.
• Possession of a Doctoral degree is an added advantage.

Salary and Terms of Appointment

The terms and conditions of appointment are those applicable within the Federal Colleges of Education System, subject to modifications by the relevant authorities.

The Registrar will hold office for a single five-year tenure, as provided under the Federal College of Education Act.
