Available Position

Education Officer

The Education Officer will support the implementation of EIDU Digital Learning Programmes across public and private schools.

The successful candidate will work with Local, State and Federal Government stakeholders to support programme implementation and sustainability. The role also involves teacher training, school visits, digital platform adoption, reporting and relationship management with government education officers.

Key Responsibilities

The Education Officer will be expected to:

  • Drive the implementation and execution of EIDU programme pilots.
  • Facilitate teacher training, onboarding and ongoing teacher support.
  • Train schools and government education officers on EIDU digital tools.
  • Support educators in using digital platforms for lesson planning and student activities.
  • Build productive relationships with state government education officers.
  • Support the planning and delivery of teacher training programmes.
  • Prepare and present programme progress reports.
  • Conduct school visits to monitor implementation and provide support.
  • Work with government relations teams on data collection and school visits.
  • Contribute to the improvement of EIDU’s digital learning platforms and materials.
  • Maintain high standards of integrity, ethics and child protection.
  • Prepare reports covering training sessions, field activities and school visits.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Education.

Candidates should also have:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 3 years of training experience.
  • At least 2 years of team management experience.
  • Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience using issue management systems such as CRM platforms.
  • Ability to use Android smartphones effectively.
  • Interest in digital teaching and learning.
  • Good understanding of adult learning and training methods.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Fluency in Hausa and English.
  • Community leadership experience.
  • Experience mentoring, training and coaching young people and adults.
  • Experience implementing education programmes.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
